The Heavenly Council And The Great Commission

All of the biblical authors, including Paul in the New Testament, believed in a world that was governed by multiple divine spiritual beings that had actually been appointed by God Most High, to be the lesser elohim of the various nations of the world. God appointed them as lesser elohim when He divided up the 70 nations at Babel.

In this series, we cover the Biblical narrative from Genesis to Revelation and discover how the nations and peoples of the Biblical world came under the rulership of rebellious spiritual beings. However, we will also see as the series progresses, the battle to bring those nations under the rulership of Yeshua through the Great Commission.

The Son of Man began to fulfill the long-awaited prophecy of taking that delegated authority back from those national deities. Yahweh was going to begin acting as the national deity of every nation in the world, in place of all of these other lesser elohim that had been temporarily put there for a season from the time of the Tower of Babel incident onwards.

The aim of the series is to follow and focus on the cosmic, spiritual battle for the hearts of minds of the peoples of those nations. What happens in the physical realm is always inspired and empowered directly from the supernatural realm.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. ~ Ephesians 6:12

Please note that we are not interested in delving into the unseen realm on this blog as the secret things of Yahweh belong to Him. The members of this council in the OT were created beings who did not always exist. They were NOT omniscient, and only had very limited power and authority which YHWH gave them for a certain length of time.
