We live in an era that is thousands of years removed from the people who wrote the biblical texts and their initial audience.

  • So should we interpret scripture and apply it to every single generation for all time irrespective of how it was first perceived within the culture it was originally written to?
  • Or should we interpret scripture in the light of the historical context, which may or may not even apply to us today?
