I finally discovered my purpose. I’ve opened my eyes to see who The Lord has created me to be. As a result fears have fallen one by one and I’ve stopped wasting my life.
I’ve taken heed of all I’ve learned through past experiences and I’ve started fulfilling my potential. I too can do all things that are placed in my life through Yeshua who strengthens me. But my purpose in life is not about getting fame, it’s to glorify Him.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS PURPOSE – Romans 8:28
The Kingdom Job Description
Each of our talents and abilities is unique to us so we should never compare ourselves to others or become jealous of others.
To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; Matthew 25:15
However, some might try to discourage us and try to prevent us from developing our full potential. Don’t let them!
Adam and Eve were the first to be given a job description as they were expected to work in the garden. They had responsibilities and were given the ability to fulfill their purposes.
God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground’ Genesis 1:28
I was created to develop my own God-given unique set of talents and the Lord expects me to use them to the best of my ability. Not to intentionally use them to receive the praise of men, but to use them for His glory alone.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
Investing In Our Talents – Being Fruitful
I want the Lord to have a return on the investment He has made in me but I can do nothing in my own strength. After all, they are his gifts to us in the first place and we should be good stewards of them.
I thank Him for all the opportunities for growth and change He’s encouraged to develop in my life, and in the life of others through my gifts and abilities. When we have this kind of attitude we will still be able to be joyful even when we’re faced with difficulties in life. After all, signing up for the Kingdom comes at a great cost and it’s life in the deep end of the pool.
It’s my future I’m investing in. That’s what being fruitful means – being given enough to produce more despite all the difficulties we face in our lives. It started a long time ago with my salvation but that was just the beginning. Along with power and passion, I have a purposeful role to play in the Kingdom in the here and now. That’s my eternal purpose and it’s so valuable!
